TLDR: If it's stuff that is happening which is a bit unsettling it's fine for me.if it's the whole screen instantly going dark and a demonic face screaming at me. Id like to clarify that this discussion is not about 'The Talos Principle' as a game. Might be a bit off topic for this forum, just thought I'd share ) At Talos Principle the decoration dont give away much but the enemies and items placement do once you understand the limits of enemies, it makes the puzzle 'more possible' and less 'aimless trial and error' or 'aimless running around'. This one really got me the first time.and even the second time while showing the movie to my brother _and knowing_ it would happen. The Talos Principle is an absolute joy to play, packed to the gills with expertly designed puzzles and enough ancillary content to make any history of philosophy buff salivate. In the portal you will find SPOILERS AHEAD a cave where you can. It will bring you on the entrance building, so that you can enter the portal. Use the box to get behind the wall, place the fan on the engine. ![]() Scariest (and best) jump scare I have ever experienced which doesn't even have any loud sound effects associated with it was one in the middle of the movie "Descent". Back in 2014, Croteam (known mostly for Serious Sam) released a first-person puzzle game called The Talos Principle. This game was very much in the Portal style but traded humor for philosophical. Walk behind one of the underwater building, until you find a wall, where you can hear the noise of an active fan engine. In the Intro level to one of the FEAR games there's a chase where you run along a wall on a roof just to have somebody step right out from a corner before you and smack you in the face -> this almost gave me a heart attack The Talos Principle 2 is a thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience that greatly expands on the first game's philosophical themes and stunning environments with increasingly mind-bending challenges. Near the end of Portal 2 there's a bit where a cube comes crawling toward you on a bridge just to get smashed away very unexpected by a roboter arm -> made me jump, but in a funny way Yeah, I might have been a little unclear as to what scares me exactly )
